right now i have a brinkmann Charcoal Smoker. i'm getting sick of dumping Charcoal in it when it is getting low. my question is if i got a propane smoker how long does the propane last since it has to be running for atlease 8 hours a smoke. is it worthe it or better sticking with the Charcoal Smoker since the propane would like for only 2 or 3 smoke before you have to refill thanks.

I used my Brinkman charcoal smoker for the 1st time.I added the charcoal(pre soaked with lighterfluid,not match lite) and let it burn til started to get white.I then added soaked wood blocks and closed the door.After about 10 min I added the meat and water.The temp NEVER got above 130 and the meat came out very lighter fluid tasting,i had to toss it out.What happened?
